AWS Group looks to PoP Manufacturing

UK-based EMS-provider AWS Group is to add the latest Package-on-Package (PoP) assembly capabilities.
AWS Group is geared up to offer medium volume, high technology electronics manufacturing services to demanding industries such as the aerospace, defence, security, oil and gas and medical and mass transit sectors. PoP is a natural addition to the company's capabilities.

Comments Paul Deehan, AWS Group CEO: "In our markets, no one is really yet undertaking PoP processing, but it is only a matter of time. We have thoroughly investigated the process and it is a relatively easy step to add to our state-of-the-art Juki lines at AWS Cemgraft in Newbury, requiring minimal extra investment. Of course, we will have to learn to control the process variables, but we are confident that we can be ready whenever our customers need this approach."
