Ton Plooy: 'We welcome you to our new world!'

Dutch EMS-provider tbp electronics has started expanding again, investing in people, resources, and systems.
"The business world is starting to come around for some people, but no one knows for how long. It's all pretty fragile still. Everybody knows meanwhile that things can get a lot worse than we could ever have imagined; even banks can go broke. So figuring out if you should be completely committed to the recent recovery is a difficult decision to make, since many companies have had to downsize on people, resources, and locations, to stay alive", says Ton Plooy, CEO at tbp electronics.

However, the EMS-provider, headquartered in Dirksland (Netherlands) has invested over the past months and considerable money went into manufacturing equipment. The company recently installed a Radial Lead Inserter for component placement and a special soldering machine to interconnect flexible prints on a printed circuit board.
