Delphi closure affects 1'400 in Česká Lípa
The closure of Delphi's facility in Česká Lípa (Czech Republic) will affect 1'400 staff.
Delphi Packard Electric CZ, a subsidiary of Delphi Automotive Systems, will relocate manufacturing from Česká Lípa to other locations in Poland and Romania (we reported). The facility is scheduled to close in March 2011.
The facility, which is specialised for the production of wiring harnesses and was one of the biggest employers for the Czech region, used to employ 3'400 staff (in 2007).
