SMR expands in Hungary
India-based Samvardhana Motherson Refletec (SMR) is to expand production operations in Hungary.
The company is to hire around 250 new employees for a new facility in Mosonmagyaróvár at the Mowin Industrial Park, local media report. SMR is manufacturing advanced mirror systems for the automotive industry and the Hungarian locations are producing for the European market. The company expects to increase production capacity further, which is said to create a further 150 jobs.
According to the company's website, SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary BT is also operating locations in Győr and Mosonszolnok. The new facility is scheduled for completion in March 2011.
