AU Optronics to build plant in Europe
AU Optronics plans to set up TV assembly bases in Europe and America next year.
The company will likely establish the facility in the Czech Republic where AUO already runs a flat panel assembly plant, according to focustaiwan. In America the company will probably choose Mexico, as United States has to high production costs, said Paul Peng, executive vice president of AUO's Global Business Unit.
