PKC lays off 31 in Kempele, end wiring harnesses production
PKC Wiring Systems has today the co-determination negotiations in Kempele wiring harness unit.
Negotiations were conducted on the basis of employer's initiative made on 3 June 2010, according to which the estimated need for personnel cuts totalled 50. As a result of the negotiations the need for personnel cuts was specified to 31
persons.
Personnel cuts lead to approximately EUR 0.5 million in non-recurring expenses for the third quarter on this year. These measures are continuance for the earlier strategic decision to end wiring harnesses production and reduce support
functions in Kempele.
