TV makers to outsource more

Asian based television producers are facing price decrease of LCD TVs and pressure to reduce the manufacturing costs.
Therefore these companies are now looking to outsource more production to other electronics manufacturers. JPMorgan predicts that the outsourcing for LCD TV's will more then double this year in terms of revenue.

Sony for example plans to increase its outsourcing of TV manufacturing by 50% during its current fiscal year. While Toshiba sees the outsourcing production of TVs as its key to increase the scale of its TV business. LG Electronics also said that the company will outsource a large number of its TV manufacturing, reports The Wall Street Journal.
