EMS-Electra – successful joint-venture in Romania
Romania seems to be one of the “hot spots” for EMS business these days, not only for the giants in the “major league”, but also for low-mid volume production.
At the end of 2009, one of the top customers of the Romanian contract manufacturer EMS-Electra, the German EMS-provider Hasec Elektronik GmbH, brought the already existing partnership with the company to a new level and decided to become a shareholder.
In a common statement, the two companies declared that “This joint-venture allows both companies to increase their production capacity and their ability to access regional markets”. The high quality standards and process controls that are standard at Hasec are now fully implemented at EMS-Electra, with the extended support of the German partner, the company states.
