Foxconn secures several notebook orders

The EMS-giant Foxconn has reportedly secured 201 notebook orders from Dell and Hewlett Packard.

Taiwan-based EMS-provider Foxconn has reportedly secured notebook orders from Dell and Hewlett Packard. The company is said to ship between 8 – 10 million units in 2010, a number which is estimated to increase to 15 – 20 million units next year, reports DigiTimes. Foxconn is also rumoured to have already started mass production at their new facility in Chongqing (China), which currently employs around 2'800 staff. This was originally planned for September 2010. This is also seen as an indication for the new notebook orders.
