Plexus expands in Clean Tech
EMS provider Plexus has invested in creating a specialized product development facility – the Plexus Renewable Energy Lab.
The facility is 1,800 square foot and holds a 225kVA devoted transformer, supplying 208V 3-phase power.
The Renewable Energy Lab is also outfitted with a host of specialized gear – including high and low voltage high-current power sources, high power programmable loads and sources to simulate renewable inputs and the power grid.
With the growing demand for development and verification services within this emerging market, Plexus plans to continue to invest in the lab by installing additional development equipment and power sources –including a modified 300V 5kW natural gas/LP generator, and a 6kW parallelserial configurable PV solar array.
