Yazaki Wiring to close down in Slovakia

All employees (around 1'200) are affected by the closure of the wire harness manufacturing facility. The layoffs are scheduled for May / June this year. Yazaki Wiring Technology is said to hand out redundancy payment—amounts to between 6 and 8 months salary—depending on the length of employment, local media reports. Additional to that, the company also offered alternative jobs for 300 employees in their other manufacturing facility in Michalovce (Slovakia).
