Pegatron to follow Foxconn to China
Pegatron—former manufacturing arm of Asystek—is apparently still undecided on a Chinese manufacturing location.
After rumours emerged that the company would start a notebook manufacturing hub in Chongqing (China), Pegatron announced that no decision has been reached so far. It is still 'evaluating several choices', writes DigiTimes.
It was also noted that—in going with a manufacturing location in Chongqing—Pegatron could benefit from Foxconn suppliers. As reported earlier, Foxconn already operates a production hub in the location and several suppliers have voiced plans to move into the area.
