EMS sales growth trend turning up

The EMS Industry is now entering positiv terrirory, according to US electronics industry trade organziation IPC and Custer Consultant Group.

The North American EMS industry is still a little bit under water but should be emerging this month and the next month, according to IPC data Evertiq has received. There are currently 52.5 billion dollar EMS and ODM sales in the North American market. This graphic has a zoom function. According to ”IPC Statistical Program for the North American EMS Industry” for 2009, the majority of the EMS industry in North America consists of industrial electronics (32.9%), followed by military and aerospace (21.2%), instrumentation and medical (18.6%), communications 10.2%, other 7.5%, consumer electronics (3.8%), computers (2.8%), automotive (2.7%) and business retail (0.3%).
