Former Infineon boss denies bribery

The former boss of Infineon, Ulrich Schumacher denies bribery charges.

In a Munich court Schumacher denies that he has taken or asked for bribes while he was working at the company, according to Timesonline. Schumacher is defending charges in a Munich court that he has accepted cash payments from a business consultant between 2000 until 2003.

Udo Schneider which is the consultant confessed in 2006 that he was bribing Schumacher. According to Bloomberg, Schneider was bribing Schumacher with "several hundred thousands of euros" to be able to "maintain and improve" his business relationship with the company, reports Timesonline which is referring to Bloomberg.
