Celestica to lay off 2000 worldwide
EMS-provider Celestica will lay off 6% of its global workforce under a major restructuring program.
2000 people will be affected by the newly announced restructuring plan - aimed at reducing unused manufacturing capacity. The company will not hand out details on which units are affected by the cutbacks, said Metro.
This new restructuring plan - apparently not connected to its decisions for the Valencia facility - is said to mainly affect “non-core sites” in higher-cost locations.
