AU Optronics builds new LCD plant
The worlds third largest LCD maker, Tawian based AU Optronics is considering building a new LCD plant, Reuters reported Friday.
The plant could cost 3 billion US dollar and the company already has the land. Production at the plant will begin in 2011 at the earliest, according to the Reuters report.
AU Optronics earlier said it is eying Slovakia and Poland as possible manufacturing locations. However it is still unknown where this particular piece of land is located.
