Hanza moves welding back in-house

Sweden-based EMS-provider Hanza is moving advanced welding back in-house, after having used a subcontractor before.
Hanza has an established cooperation with Siemens Medical, where Hanza also manufactures advanced mammography equipment. Following Hanza’s business model CMS, the company broadened the manufacturing offering to include advanced robot welding. Hanza established a new unit – Hanza Svartå – for this purpose. As a consequence of this decision, Hanza is moving the manufacturing (previously performed by a subcontractor) back in-house.

"We have a better control of critical details, thus improving delivery precision", says Anders Sjögren, Business Unit Manager for Hanza’s Medical unit.
