Nokia Siemens interested in Nortel assets
Nokia Siemens Networks has reportedly offered to buy key assets from bankrupt Nortel Networks Corp.
The reason is that the Finnish German Joint Venture seeks to expand its foothold in the U.S. wireless market, according to a Wall Street Journal report Tuesday. The report said Nokia Siemens is also interested in Nortel's LTE wireless technology which is slated to be deployed in the coming years by large wireless telecommunications carriers.
Sales stagnate at Schweizer Electronic
Despite a seasonally weaker fourth quarter Schweizer Electronic AG was able to keep their annual sales stable at 105.4 million Euro compared to the previous year and within expectations.
