Kontron continues to benefit from strong outsourcing trend

One of the largest international telecoms equipment suppliers has selected Kontron to supply it in the future with platforms using the latest ATCA technology. "Advanced Telecommunications Computer Architecture" manages the backbone infrastructure of telecommunications networks in a particularly rapid and reliable manner. This design win in the important future area of telecommunications has a total volume of over $100 million, and is intended to run for a period of at least five years. Kontron has also won a specific order in the gaming application area: one of manufacturer of gaming machines will equip its latest product generation with Kontron technology. The $18 million order comprises the development and production of corresponding platforms based on ETX Computer-on-Modules and Intel Core 2 Duo processors, and is intended to enter its start-up phase by as early as next year.
