LEM to cut 10% of global staff numbers

Switzerland based component maker LEM will adapt its global headcount to the current economic downturn.

LEM has taken measures to adjust its cost base to the current weak market situation. The measures follow the outlook statement of 6 November 2008. LEM will reduce its worldwide headcount of 1 000 employees by about 10%. Part of this reduction will be lay-offs. In Switzerland headcount will be adjusted by about 16 employees. ----- LEM is a high growth global company with approximately 1’000 employees worldwide. It has production plants in Geneva (Switzerland), Machida (Japan), Beijing (China) and regional sales offices. LEM is listed on the SWX Swiss Exchange since 1986.
