Triview builds LCD plant in Macedonia

Korea based Triview will start to build a plant in the Technological Industrial Development Zone “Skopje” to manufacture LCD television sets.
The investment is worth €4 million and is expected to start in the spring of 2009. Triview will lease 2.5 hectares of land and is expected to employ 80 to 100 people during the first phase. 60,000 television sets for the European market are expected to be produced annually. Production is expected to begin by the end of 2009. According to John Shen, Vice President of Triview, the Macedonian government offered a very attractive investment package. The company is headquartered in Seoul, and sells mainly to the local Korean market and the United States.
