Toshiba to buy Spansion?
Japan-based Toshiba is rumoured to be interested in buying U.S. chip maker Spansion.
However, Spansion - former joint venture of Fujitsu and AMD - has not disclosed terms of the deal. Both companies are still shareholders - 11.4% (Fujitsu) and 8.7% (AMD), reports Reuters. Spansion's shares plummet 72% this year as the memory chip sector struggles with oversupply.
