Substrate prices to rise
According to research firm, TechSearch, the laminate substrate prices for semiconductor production, are likely to go up.
The background to the price increase is apart from the increasing demand, a fire incident at ASE's Chung-Li facility. The fire decimated the company's flip-chip substrate production line. This made impact on the already tenuous supply of laminate substrates for semiconductor packaging.
