Medical company creates 250 jobs in Ireland
Abiomed has recently signed a long-term operating lease for a manufacturing facility in Athlone, Ireland.
Abiomed expects to begin facility preparations immediately and currently anticipates that the first Impella 2.5 Cardiac Assist Device production line will be operational in approx. 18 months.
The company already operated a facility in Germany, but is setting up three new production lines in Athlone, Ireland. The company plans to create 250 new jobs in Ireland.
