Promation and Omtec partner

Promation is a full service manufacturer of PCB handling solutions, robotic assembly systems, integrated workstations and warehousing solutions and Omtec is a manufacturer of pop-up ball transfer solutions. To create the desired customer solution, Promation selected Omtec as its business partner to create a progressive line flow solution for a premier computer manufacturer. The solution required Promation to design and build a moderate priced system that would accept and transfer carriers weighing up to 80 lb between assembly stations. Promation’s end solution included roller beds with pneumatically controlled crossover pop ups, integrated work benches with custom ESD ball table tops, and electric Southworth lifts with custom/offset retractable ball tables and selectable transfer heights. Promation also added overhead lighting systems, tool trolleys, shelving and custom operator controls for product movement to create the desired overall process.
