Apple iPhone 3G will be built by Foxconn, not Quanta as earlier mentioned by various reports. Infineon has apparently been confirmed as the main component supplier for the iPhone’s cellular chipset, power management unit (PMU), digital baseband controller, and RF-module. The list below will give you a complete insight of which companies will be supplying the iPhone 3G.

Balda has been replaced by Sharp for supplying the multi-touch panel. Apple hopes that the dead strips that have been seen on the first-generation iPhones will be a non-issue for the Sharp sourced touch-panel.
