Flextronics France to establish social plan

As evertiq reported earlier, Flextronics has closed its facility in Châteaudun, France.
French media reports state that 750 jobs have been lost at Flextronics site and subcontractors alike in the wake of this closure. The French government has now created AFR Dunois (regional aid), which makes companies eligible for further aid ranging from 15 to 35% of productive investment, said Les Échos. This will complement the plan funded by Flextronics, which provides 2,300 euros for each job that is within the region over the next three years.
