LG Philips starts production in China
LG Philips LCD announced that its LCD display manufacturing center in Guangzhou, China has started production.
The first phase of the project sees seven manufacturing lines, which will produce more than 1.5 million TFT LCD displays each month.
The second phase, which will be completed in 2009, will see an additional 19 manufacturing lines. These will produce a total of 40 million displays annually with an estimated value of $7 billion.
