Nokia means 'Low Budget'
Nokia was once a giant among mobile phone manufacturers. Now Microsoft will use the Nokia brand only for its range of cheap mobile phones.
And it can still get worse. Or at least that is what a recent Microsoft blog post suggests. Nokia - for a long time THE European flagship company and the undisputed leader when it came to mobile phones - and its heritage is to be further dismantled.
In future, only the cheap mobile phones (ups: the low budget ones) will bear the name Nokia. The Lumia smartphones will be marketed under the name 'Microsoft Lumia' instead.
